A quiet night

Jan. 18, 2014. Sam's Food Mart. I don't know what the story is on those lights in the sky, so in that sense they truly are unidentified flying objects, or just a lens reflection.

Seattle Seahawks

Jan. 17, 2014. Gordon's joins Seahawks fever as the Super Bowl approaches. Note the football helmet shaped helium balloons competing with Valentine balloons in the background. The town erupted with fireworks when the Seahawks beat Denver that year.

Impressionist tree

Jan. 12, 2011. I believe this is the little tree between the Post Office and the outside mail dropoff box. There used to be a brick flower box at that spot, but it kept getting plowed over by bad drivers,  and the cycle of rebuilding/destroying/rebuilding got old fast. So now there's a tree in that location.

Stepping stones

Jan. 11, 2014. Rainbow Park, I think.

The couch in the woods

Apr. 8, 2012. At first, from a distance, I thought this was a hunter's blind when I saw it from First St.

The smokestack as seen from First St.

Aug. 24, 2016. If Simpson ever implodes that thing, it will be a gala event. There are still a few people around who helped construct that edifice.

I'm not a Freudian, but if I were I could have a field day with this. I'm not even a Freudian who is Jung at heart.

Sometimes a smokestack is just a smokestack.

A tree grows through the Simpson fence

Aug. 22, 2016. Near Ash and 7th St.

Can you spot the rabbit on Rabbit Hill?

July 28, 2016. Since this photo was taken last month the area has been bulldozed and many trees have been cut.
